Description

A programmable calculator using WebKit's JavaScript (aka ECMAScript) environment as the math engine. Use any of the common mathematical functions to solve your calculating needs or use some of the many author written functions which have been added for your enumerating enjoyment. Use this app to write algorithms and simple scripts with the full power of a programming language to back you up. Included in this package are two more tools to write and view HTML snippets and a Regular Expression search and replace interface. All three of these tools can be used to prototype ideas while on the go help you figure out the tip owed on a dinner bill (s.tip()).

If your a software engineers, web developers, engineer, or just have to do math that a basic calculator can't handle you should find this app helpful and most of all it is FREE, because small hacks I (the author) write to make my day a little better should not cost you money (but feel free to send me an iPad or MacBook if my app makes you money).

If you download this app and you like what you see but still find it lacking, don't delete it right away. Instead please let me know. I have more ideas then time and if you have a suggestion then I would love to hear it. The direction this app takes requires feedback from it's users if it's to grow.

var e = s.prompt("mass", 1)*s.pow(s.SOL, 2);

What's New in Version 3.0

It's been over two years since I released a new version of these, which completely unrelated is the age of my son. Somehow I found some time to get back to making updates. Now bare with me, I can't remember much of anything pre-kid. I think version 2 did not have iTunes File Sharing, but it might have. I know one thing, I improved it and now all data is accessible via this interface. Data files are now saved as UTF-8 and not UTF-16 meaning that common text editors can edit the script files so you don't have to have BBEdit to hack around with your files. Custom Keyboards can be written and are defined in plist files accessible through iTunes.

0. iTunes File Sharing (I think)
1. Custom, user configurable Keyboards
2. More functions
3. Improved User Messaging
4. Improved onboard help
5. Retina icons

5/5 stars

Simple, functional

Nice app. I've been wanting to do programming tests on my iPod for a while now. A save and load feature would be greatly appreciated though.

This app helps me a lot with testing RegExes. Syntax highlighting would make this app perfect. I understand the difficulty of doing that and thus still give it 5 stars. Honestly, I've found nothing wrong in the app itself.
